Web Ad Series

The Servicemembers United Action Fund will be releasing one new web ad each week beginning Tuesday, August 10th as part of its ad campaign centered around MilitaryReadiness.org. More information about each new ad and the individuals featured in them can be found here.

Featured: Brian Muller.

Brian is a former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant and Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician (aka Bomb Tech.). Brian joined the Army in March of 1996 and served three tours of duty in Bosnia and one tour of duty in Afghanistan. For most of his time in the Army, fellow soldiers know Brian was gay and they did not care. In November of 2003, however, Brian was finally discharged from the Army under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” after 8 years of service.

Featured: Larry Baxley, Kelly Sayers, Jon Martinez

Larry is a former Intelligence Officer who served in the U.S. Navy for 16 years. Kelly was the partner of a U.S. Air Force polygrapher who served in every major overseas operation in which the U.S. participated during her 20 years of service. Jon Martinez was a mechanic in the Marine Corps for 5 years. Each of these individuals experienced the burden of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in unique ways that negatively impacted them, their families, and their service.
